An interactive journey through influential and iconic Black hairstyles and hair trends led the way inside of the Essence Beauty Carnival during the 2019 Essence Festival with throwback magazine covers of iconic stars like Oprah Winfrey, Whitney Houston, Mary J. Blige and more! These interactive displays and sets took guest through some of the first breakthrough products for African American hair and makeup and into the Beauty Carnival where new innovative products by brands like Estee Lauder and My Black is Beautiful’s Pantene Gold Series, Head & Shoulders Royal Oils and Olay lines were displayed in stylish and swanky booths. Guests were presented with samples and demonstrations of the latest in African American beauty, glam and fashion with celebrity curations, free limited edition totes and a chance for guests to show off their personal style with specialty photo activated booths. Style and fashion poured out of the Ernest M Morial Convention Center from Friday through Sunday with thousands attending each day. It’s safe to say that the 2019 Essence Beauty Carnival was the ultimate celebration of beauty, style and fashion for women of color.
