EDDIE MURPHY IS BACK!!!
Meech Movie Review
Eddie Murphy is back! ‘Dolemite Is My Name’ is a Netflix Original, star studded movie, that is nothing short of “Black Excellence.” Eddie takes the role as comedic legend “Rudy Ray Moore”, which follows the ups and downs of Moore’s ‘real true life story’ as he tries to find himself through his passion of entertainment, to make a name for himself in the 70’s Hollywood movie industry. After having doors closed, repeatedly in his face, his perseverance never stops him from showing the world that no matter what and even under the dire of circumstances, never give up on what you dream, to make a reality. “Dolemite Is My Name” may target a certain audience with its cultural references, but has a moral meaning that all can appreciate. Wesley Snipes, also stars in the film, as “D’Urville Martin.” Sharing some of the biggest laugh moments that are truly a “cinemagical revelation.” Leaving you wanting more from his portrayal as the uppity Martin. Also starting Kegan Michael-Key as the witty Jerry Jones who helps encourage Moore to stick to what he knows. There are a couple surprise cameos by Chris Rock and Tip ‘T.I’ Harris. Harris almost goes unnoticed if it weren’t for his recognizable voice. Eddie Murphy is a breath of fresh air going back to his roots and showcasing his raunchy talent as he did in the 80’s that hasn’t lost it’s touch.
“Dolemite Is My Name” is now in select theaters and will be streaming on Netflix October 25th!

Sexy, Sensual, Seductive, and a lot of other ‘S’ words came to mind. HUSH has it’s share of sex, and there is definitely some sex going on in this series, but what really drew me into this series is the SUSPENSE (yet another ‘S’ word).
