MAD FLAVOR TAKES VEGAS FOR THE 34TH ANNUAL STELLAR AWARDS WEEKEND

Mad Flavor TV arrived to Las Vegas, NV for the 34th Annual Stellar Awards Weekend with several events lined up on the itinerary.
Thursday March 29…Mad Flavor kicked off the day at the SLS Hotel with the eOne CeleBrunch where eOne Entertainment artists were acknowledged for their Stellar Awards nominations. Check out the eOne CelebBrunch blog for a full recap.
Friday March 30…Mad Flavor attended the ASCAP & Motown Presents the 10th Annual ‘Morning Glory’ Breakfast which took place at the Mirage Hotel. Full recap located in the ‘Morning Glory’ blog. After the morning events…It was now time for the STELLARS!
Stellar Awards red carpet wasted no time to bring the PRAISE…PRAISE dancers Jubilee opened the carpet and then the Gospel GREATS began to roll in. Stellar Awards aka Gospel Grammys was hosted by Gospel Prince Kirk Franklin
Mad Flavor brought the FLAVOR to the red carpet and got some DOPE interviews with presenters, nominees, artists and so many others to include the host himself Kirk Franklin and his lovely wife Tammy, Anthony Brown, Yolanda Adams, Maranda Curtis, Koryn Hawthorne, Phil Thornton, DeVon Franklin, Kurt Carr, cast members of ‘American Soul,’ Regina Belle, Warryn Campbell, Goo Atkins, Isabel Davis, D1 and more.
The Stellar’s star studded red carpet LIVE stream show was sponsored by AARP and CLIMB.org and was hosted by Jason Nelson and Goo Goo Atkins and the newly popular Emerging Artist stage will showcase performances by DOE, Jabari Johnson and Will McMillan.
Todd Delaney (6 Noms), Brian Courtney Wilson, Jekalyn Carr (5 Noms), Charles Jenkins and Jonathan McReynolds (9 Noms) and a few others performed. Erica Campbell, Regina Belle and Kelly Price performed a TRIBUTE to the QUEEN Aretha Franklin and her family was there to witness the serenade and receive the FIRST ever Aretha Franklin ICON Award.
Special awards for Thomas A. Dorsey Most Notable Achievement awarded to The Sensational Nightingales, Ambassador Dr. Bobby Jones Legends Award awarded to Deloris Washington Greene, Stellar Honors Hall of Fame Inductees Jackie Patillo, James Robinson, Jr and Phil Thornton.
The 34th Annual Stellar Awards were sponsored by AT&T #DreamInBlack and CLIMB.org.
The biggest night in Gospel music is returning to BET after a 15 year hiatus. Be sure to tune in April 21, 2019 Easter Sunday for the Stellar Awards on BET at 7:00pm EST. Tell your Grandma to tune in too!

2019 Trumpet Awards

Sexy, Sensual, Seductive, and a lot of other ‘S’ words came to mind. HUSH has it’s share of sex, and there is definitely some sex going on in this series, but what really drew me into this series is the SUSPENSE (yet another ‘S’ word).

Uptown Magazine’s Pre-Oscars Hollywood Honors brought out some of Black Hollywood’s elite as they honored Directors Tim Story (Fantastic Four, Think Like A Man, Ride Along, Shaft (2019)) and George Tillman Jr. (Soul Food, The Hate U Give). The Event was hosted by Tai Beauchamp and Actor/Comedian Chris Spencer.
